Melaka

Last Thursday, my parents with my two sisters came up to KL to have a family buka puasa in Melaka. It’s our favourite ikan bakar place there. Not Umbai, not anything. It’s the Ikan Bakar Muara Sg.Duyong.

The place is located exactly in between of the river and the sea. We had a good sunset sighting that day before breaking fast. We discovered the place about ten years ago. Not many knew about it at that time as the location is a bit far from the Melaka city. It has so much improvement now but the food is still good.

We all had Nasi Lemak, Butter Prawn, Ikan Pari Bakar, Sotong goreng tepung, Ikan goreng and one seafood which I have never seen before and I can’t remember what it’s called. I didn’t even try it cause it looked weird. You can see from the slide above. The one you are not familiar with, yeah that’s it.

Oh, that’s called (or I call it) ‘pepahat’. Not many seafood eateries have that, the other place I saw pepahat is in Bagan Lalang.

Hey I know the place okay. Near my kampung, but we always end up somewhere futher down from Umbai, cuz Umbai now so over-rated, and hence mahal and kurang sedap.

And thats what I call “Lala Buloh”. You can get them nicely cooked, Portuguese style, from Uptown Damansara, but will cost a bit. Will bawak you if you wanna try. ;)

      Yeaa Umbai is indeed over-rated.

Anyway, portuguese eat that Lala Buluh ? So since Cristiano Ronaldo might eat that too, I would give that a try when you get back here okay ? heheh ;)
